While the dude didn’t go as far as Gavin here, he did some pretty fucked up shit to groom her, forced her to call him every day, ect. But when she came back and told me about it, I told her it wasn’t worth it. The dude played around with her since she stated at his family place for the summer and I did not know that those two were having a sweet time. Clearly obvious that this was fucked up and I told her as such. She was 14 (we were in middle school) and the dude was 20. Their dynamic reminded me of a former friend of mine and her first boyfriend. He wanted to corrupt her and train her to be a good woman to fuck… and not in a yandere way but a gross misogynist incel way. A part of me don’t really see Gavin as a yandere but more of a misogynist incel who saw this naive younger girl and saw her as an easy target to chase after. Does that make him a yandere? Idk there’s not information on this shit. Idk, maybe? The only thing that I gather here is that Gavin is a psychopath and a stalker. Julie and I seriously die with these young adult books. And again, reading the book is not an option lmao. I could only find reviews on this shit and reviews aren’t that great for unopinionated information.
